
The department is equippted with modern medical appliances and implements all modern methods and algorithms of clinical diagnostics and treatment in internal medicine. Cardiology and gastroenterology are a priority. Functional studies are carried out: electrocardiography, stress test, 24-hour Holter ECG, ultrasound diagnosis in the full range of internal medicine, transthoracic echocardiography, vascular Doppler-sonography; invasive studies–esophagogastroduodenoscopy,colonoscopy. Endoscopic examinations are performed with the latest, most advanced equipment in collaboration with radiology and cinical laboratory.
The department has its own outpatient sectors located within the outpatient diagnostic unit of the hospital. These are an internal medicine office, a general medicine office, an abdominal and thyroid ultrasound room and an endoscopy room.
