Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology

 Our department offers the most advanced methods of treatment of orthopedic and traumatic conditions. The highly qualified orthopedists-traumatologists in St. Sofia Hospital are prepared to provide help to patients of all ages and occupations: children, people of middle and advanced age, physically active and professional athletes.

The goal of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology in St. Sofia Hospital is to provide medical care and personal attention in accordance with the highest modern European and world standards, to every patient who has sought help from us. Our Philosophy 
All orthopedic and traumatic conditions are treated in the department, with a focus on arthroscopic surgery of large, medium and small joints, knee surgery, miniinvasive and with minimal blood loss surgery of disc herniations and degenerative diseases of the spine. Our goal is to apply the most modern and yet effective methods of treatment. Our offices and operating rooms are equipped with the most up-to-date medical equipment. Our therapeutic approach is individualized to each patient. If our specialists determine that you need surgical treatment, all the details about the upcoming operation, how to prepare for it and the plan for postoperative rehabilitation and recovery will be discussed in advance with you. Our team of specialists – orthopedists, anesthesiologists, imaging specialists, rehabilitation specialists and kinesiotherapists prepare and conduct the most appropriate individual treatment plan for each patient.
